Money

I found out I could buy Japanese yen cash from the Royal Bank at an exchange rate (.0116) better than that at Narita Airport, which I was able to check online, and no fees. So, I've ordered 150,000 yen and they'll be delivered to my branch in three business days. I guess I should take some US$ too so maybe I'll take about $1000 in travellers cheques. My many forum discussions on the subject of money in Japan have informed me that ATMs that access US/Canadian banks are almost non-existent. I still find it hard to believe because isn't Japan the technology capital of the world?
